机械识记(rote n2teYnorizing) 识记方式的一种。与“意义识记”相对。对无意义或缺乏了解的材料,依据其表面特征采用简单重复的方式记忆。如对无意义音节的记忆等。机械识记的材料因未进行意义编码而容易受到其他材料的干扰,特别容易遗忘,而且识记的容量也十分有限。奥苏伯尔等认为,所有识记材料都可根据其特征在机械一意义这一连续体上找到位置。
