施工放样（setting out）把设计图纸上工程建筑物的平面位置和高程，用一定的测量仪器和方法测设到实地上去的测量工作称为施工放样（也称施工放线）。 测图工作是利用控制点测定地面上地形特征点，缩绘到图上。施工放样则与此相反，是根据建筑物的设计尺寸，找出建筑物各部分特征点与控制点之间位置的几何关系，算得距离、角度、高程、坐标等放样数据，然后利用控制点，在实地上定出建筑物的特征点，据以施工。
