数位艺术家﹙Digital artist﹚意指以现有的电脑科技从事艺术创作的艺术家，是艺术家的新世代名称，他们所常用的有平面设计软件、数位摄影科技和电脑辅助绘画软件等。数位艺术家与一般使用这些软件的人不同之处在于，他们所创作的作品都必须是相当创新的。例如有多数的数位艺术家强调合作的观念，也就是作品必须和观者有很强烈的合作意识。大部份数位媒体都有分享、共享、才能有创意表现的概念。如开放源代码、创作共享等、让观者也能参与创作。
