攀西地区（PanxiDiqu），是“攀枝花”、“西昌”两地名的合称，攀西地区位于四川省西南部，攀枝花市、西昌市、冕宁县、德昌县、米易县等位于攀西大裂谷的安宁河平原，行政上包括攀枝花市和凉山彝族自治州，共计20县、市。南起攀枝花市，西昌市，北到冕宁，纵贯340公里，面积6.36万平方公里，人口451.55万。攀西地区是中国西南地区大型钢铁、钒钛冶炼基地和水电基地，四川蔗糖基地。主要城市：攀枝花市、西昌市、会理县、米易县、德昌县等。
