Methods 216 leprosy patients in rural community were selected randomly. Then family concern index questionnaire (APGAR) was used to assess the subjective satisfaction with their family functions.

Patients answered the Oswestry Disability Index questionnaire and underwent physical examination, before and at 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year following the CEI.
