护照是主权国家发给本国公民出入国境和在国外居留、旅行等合法的身份证件，一起证明该公民的国籍、身份及出国目的。而护照加注是指在护照备注页上加一些说明性内容，加注的内容有：换发记录、护照延期、曾用名等。
第二十二条护照签发机关可以收取护照的工本费、加注费。

注意：如果你的申请因为品行问题被拒签，新西兰移民局可能在你的护照上加注，以证明你曾经申请过新西兰签证。
