录井是用岩矿分析、地球物理、地球化学等方法,观察、采集、收集、记录、分析随钻过程中的固体、液体、气体等井筒返出物信息,以此建立录井地质剖面、发现油气显示、评价油气层,并为石油工程(投资方、钻井工程、其它工程)提供钻井信息服务的过程。 录井技术是油气勘探开发活动中最基本的技术, 是发现、评估油气藏最及时、最直接的手段,具有获取地下信息及时、多样,分析解释快捷的特点。
