工作配偶（work spouse），是指男女同事间不会朝相恋或性关系方向发展的亲密合作关系，可以说是柏拉图式的某种情感沟通，这种异性间理性高效的携手合作，共对职场风雨，其实是上天赐予人类的一种珍贵的战友情，一种可能和自己的配偶都未必如此合拍的关系，在美国很多“工作配偶”除了在事业上密切合作，私下也会聊一聊生活中的鸡毛蒜皮，办公室的人际关系，彼此亲密无间，但通常都相处得很有分寸感，绝无暧昧。
