山谷冰川（Valley Glacier），是在谷地中呈带状分布的冰川。是规模最大的一种山岳冰川。冰川长达数千米至数十千米以上，冰川厚度多为数百米。以雪线为界，山谷冰川具有明显的冰雪积累区（粒雪盆）和消融区（冰舌）。
山谷冰川只限于多山地带的山谷。
