就医卡，也称“就诊卡”，规格各有不同，主要分为磁条卡和条码卡。里面记录了患者的详细信息，在医院就诊期间，凭卡进行各项医学检查、取药、处置及交款。使用就医卡的系统是医院信息系统的一部分，刷卡可以免去文字录入带来的麻烦，解决就医繁琐、医疗信息管理等问题。 就医卡在实际使用中经常被患者随用随弃，造成资源浪费；同时各医院就医卡无法通用的现状也给患者就医带来不便。
医生可以将心音回放到半速从而加以详细诊断、也可以将其保存到患者的就医卡、还可以全部打包发邮件给心脏病学家以确认诊断结果。
