葫芦变种，小葫芦茎有软粘毛，卷须分2叉。叶片心状卵形或肾状卵形，边缘具小齿。花6-7月开放，雌雄同株，单生叶腋；雄花梗较雌花长，高出叶上，花冠白色，边缘皱曲，清晨开放，日中即枯。瓠果淡黄白色，长不足10厘米，中部缢细，下部大于上部，呈扁圆球形，上部连接果柄成尖桃形。区别葫芦在于：植株结实较多，果实形状虽似葫芦，但较小，长仅约10厘米。 我国多栽培；果实药用，种子油可制肥皂。
