家计调查，亦称“居民家庭收支调査”。是指对居民家庭的收人和支出及与其有关的基本经济情况所进行的专门调査。如职工家庭收支调查、农民家庭收支调查等。调查的主要内容是了解家庭的日常收支、需求以及消费等经济行为。广义的调查还可增加一些如生活方式、闲暇时间等非经济活动的内容。调査的方式既可以是微观的个案调查，也可以是宏观的抽样调查，调査的目的是通过对家庭日常活动的研究，了解家庭和社会状况以及有关的现实问题，其在一定程度上可以弥补专项普査的不足。
