宋恭，西河介休人，前燕徐州刺史、河南太守。祖父宋爽为前燕长史，父亲宋活为前燕中书监。后来徙居广平（今河北鸡泽县东南）。
公元1189年，宋光宗先封恭王，后即帝位，自诩“双重喜庆”，升恭州为重庆府，重庆由此得名，距今已有800余年。
