孔纹导管是指侧壁具有多数纹孔的导管。纹孔一般为圆形或椭圆形的具缘纹孔，当紧密连接时，互相压挤呈现四角形或六角形。
次生木质部由孔纹导管、 薄壁组织及射线所组成。
