多孔塑料又称泡沫塑料，是以合成树脂为基体，加入发泡剂及其它添加剂，经发泡作用形成的一种具有细孔梅绵状结构的物质。常用的树脂有聚乙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚氯乙烯、聚丙烯、聚氨酯等。常用的发泡方法有物理发泡法、化学发泡法和机械发泡法等。具有质轻、隔热、吸音、减震等特性，且介电性能优于基体树脂，用途广泛。
