2009年颁布了检查GB/T23858-2009，明确了复合材料井盖作为检查井盖的一种，并说明其特性：用聚合物作基体材料，加入增强材料、填充料等，通过一定的工艺复合而成的检查井盖。新的国标提升了井盖的荷载要求，与国际通行的EN124标准接轨。该标准从2010年2月1日起实施。
