指在反应器内装填颗粒状固体催化剂或固体反应物，形成一定高度的堆积床层，气体或液体物料通过颗粒间隙流过静止固定床层的同时，实现非均相反应过程。这类反应器的特点是充填在设备内的固体颗粒固定不动，有别于固体物料在设备内发生运动的移动床和流化床，又称填充床反应器。固定床反应器广泛用于气-固相反应和液-固相反应过程，例如，合成氨工业中的固定半水煤气发生炉，水处理中的固定床离子交换柱等。涓流床反应器也可归属于固定床反应器，气、液相并流向下通过床层，呈气液固相接触。
