咬肌masseter系咀嚼肌之一。起自颧弓的下缘和内面，止于咬肌粗隆和下颌支的外面。咬肌与颞肌、翼内肌收缩可上提下颌骨(闭口)。受下颌神经的咬肌神经支配。在咀嚼功能上有重要意义。
