日本弓道所使用的一类长弓。标准的和弓长度大概有2.2米（七尺三寸）。古代的和弓称为「大弓」，泛指总长度超过逾两米的所有长弓。另有一种比和弓为短的制式，称为「半弓」（大约45至160厘米）。使用者执弓的位置主要是弓的下弧部份，长度比例是全弓的三分之一。和弓本来是由竹与木再以鳔（胶原料的一种）组装而成，现在组制竹弓多数使用玻璃纤维强化塑胶。
