双组分纤维又称为复合纤维,是由两种不同成纤聚合物或性能不同的同类成纤聚合物组成。由于这种纤维中所含两种组分相互补充,因此复合纤维的性能通常优于常规的合成纤维,具有多方面的用途。复合纤维按形态可分为两大类,即双层型和多层型。双层型又包括并列型和皮芯型,而多层型又包括并列多层型、放射型、多芯型、木纹型、嵌入型、多岛型和云雾型等。
