供印刷工业铸字和制版用的合金。中国宋代毕升发明活字版印刷，最早的印刷活字是用泥、木制作的。以后用铜、铅、锡、铁等金属制作。1445年德国人谷腾堡(J.G.Gutenberg)首先用铅锡锑合金(type metals)铸字，直到20世纪80年代初，铅锡锑合金还是最主要的印刷合金。除活字合金外，印刷合金还包括制作凸印版材和平印版材用的合金等。
主要用途：制造蓄电池电极板、硬金、印刷合金、电缆套管及轴承合金等。
