剪跨比（λ）指构件截面弯矩与剪力和有效高度乘积的比值。对于简支梁，剪跨比为梁上集中荷载作用点到支座边缘的最小距离a（a称剪跨）与截面有效高度h0之比。 以λ=a/h0表示。它反映计算截面上正应力与剪应力的相对关系，是影响抗剪破坏形态和抗剪承载力的重要参数。在其它因素相同时，剪跨比越大，抗剪能力越小。当剪跨比大于3时，抗剪能力基本不再变化。
