刺激作用(stimulation)是指内外环境中的刺激因素作用于有机体,对有机体产生影响的过程。若刺激来自同物种成员的活动,则称为社会性刺激作用。具体表现形式:(1)环境因素的变化以一定的能量形式(通常是物理能或化学能)作用于机体感受器,感受器将其转变成生物能,引发神经冲动的过程;(2)有机体在内外环境刺激的影响下产生特定行为反应的过程。在经典条件作用中,非条件刺激作为对条件反应的酬答,具有强化功能。
