在外力作用下,晶粒的形状随着工件外形的变化而变化。当工件的外形被拉长或压扁时,其内部晶粒的形状也随之被拉长或压扁,导致晶格发生畸变,使金属进一步滑移的阻力增大,因此金属的强度和硬度显著提高,塑性和韧性明显下降,产生所谓“变形强化”现象。原因:位错密度增加。
