又称升华干燥。将含水物料冷冻到冰点以下，使水转变为冰，然后在较高真空下将冰转变为蒸气而除去的干燥方法。物料可先在冷冻装置内冷冻，再进行干燥。但也可直接在干燥室内经迅速抽成真空而冷冻。升华生成的水蒸气借冷凝器除去。升华过程中所需的汽化热量，一般用热辐射供给。
