爱神伽摩（Kama）是众神中最英俊的，一个永远年轻的男子，骑著一只鹦鹉，印度神话中表爱欲之神，意译“欲”，相当于希腊、罗马神话中的丘比特。手持一张用甘蔗制成的弓，弓弦是一排嗡嗡的蜜蜂，用它放射五之爱欲之箭，以执心作箭羽，以希望作箭镞，以鲜花作箭头。他的妻子罗蒂（代表情欲）和朋友伐森多（代表春天）伴随著他，伐森多为他上好弓弦，挑选出适合的鲜花作箭头，一但谁被他的爱情之箭射中，就会在心中燃起熊熊的爱情之火。
伽摩尼遵从了老师的建议，用他的善意和忠诚得到了父亲的欢心。
