任职部门指的是劳动者供职的组织单位，通俗的意思就是员工在厂矿，企业，公司，政府部门工作的单位部门。例如：行政、财务、办公室、人事、总务、业务、营销、安全保卫、生产车间、仓库等等。 任职包含三层意思：一、担任官职，担任职务；二、任命官职；三、称职，尽职。部门的意思是组成某一整体的部分或组织单位。
