干基就是以单位质量的干空气或干气体为基准表示的湿空气或湿气体的湿度、比热、比容、焓等性质。同样，以单位质量无水固体为基准表示湿固体中的水分时，也称为干基。在干燥和调湿的各种计算中，采用“干基”比较方便说明。
除干燥减量外，其他指标均以干基计。
