三角形态经常出现在股价的休整阶段。在这一形态中，价格基本横向波动且幅度越来越小，期间至少需要有四个局部的反转点，而由两条边线的方向则可划分为：对称、上升和下降三角形，扩散三角形可归为第四类三角形，而收敛三角形与扩散三角形则可组成菱形（看跌形态）。
有5例患者可见典型的类圆形、弧形、三角形或梭形肌质块，位于肌纤维中央、外周、一角或一侧，其形态与在肌纤维中所处的位置有关。
