Manglietia species all have scalariform perforation plates, only a few also have simple perforations.

In contrast, most of the Michelia species possess scalariform perforation plates and only one with simple perforation.

Results There were 3 types of vessel elements, scalariform vessel, reticulated vessel and pitted vessel, the perforation plates were simple perforation plate.
