Objective To assess the application value of multifocal electroretinogram (MERG) in the function changes in different site of the retina of age-related macular degeneration.

Results There was no significantly difference between the two groups regarding age, visual acuity, foveal thickness, amplitude and implicit time of wave P1 of ring1 and ring2 by MERG prior to surgery.
结果手术前两组患者的年龄、视力、黄斑中心凹厚度、MERG的1环和2环P波振幅及潜时均无明显差异。
