Then king David said, 'Call in Bathsheba.' So she came into the king's presence and stood before him.

And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.

And king David said to all the assembly: Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is as yet young and tender: and the work is great, for a house is prepared not for man, but for God.

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: 'Who am I, o Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
于是大卫王进去，坐在耶和华面前，说，耶和华神阿，我是谁？我的家算什么，你竟使我到这地步呢？
He said to the Levites, who instructed all Israel and who had been consecrated to the Lord : 'Put the sacred ark in the temple that Solomon son of David king of Israel built.
又对那归耶和华为圣，教训以色列人的利未人说，你们将圣约柜安放在以色列王大卫儿子所罗门建造的殿里，不必再用肩扛抬。
When they told it unto David, he sent to meet them, because the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.
有人告诉大卫，他就差人去迎接他们，因为他们甚觉羞耻，告诉他们说，可以住在耶利哥，等到胡须长起再回来。
David answered Ahimelech the priest, "The king charged me with a certain matter and said to me, 'No one is to know anything about your mission and your instructions.'
大卫回答祭司亚希米勒说：“王吩咐我一件事说：‘我差遣你委托你的这件事，不要使人知道。’
And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, o LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

The king also said to Shimei, 'you know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the Lord will repay you for your wrongdoing.
王又对示每说，你向我父亲大卫所行的一切恶事，你自己心里也知道，所以耶和华必使你的罪恶归到自己的头上。
So David said, "Look, tomorrow is the New Moon festival, and I am supposed to dine with the king; but let me go and hide in the field until the evening of the day after tomorrow."
大卫对约拿单说：“明日是初一，我当与王同席，求你容我去藏在田野，直到第三日晚上。”
From there David went to Mizpah in Moab and said to the king of Moab, "Would you let my father and mother come and stay with you until I learn what God will do for me?"
大卫从那里往摩押的米斯巴去，对摩押王说，求你容我父母搬来，住在你们这里，等我知道神要为我怎样行。
Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD?
于是大卫王进去，坐在耶和华面前，说，主耶和华阿，我是谁。
And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

And David said, It is my voice, my Lord, o king.

Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, o Lord GOD? And what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me.
王就吩咐左右的侍卫说，你们去杀耶和华的祭司。因为他们帮助大卫，又知道大卫逃跑，竟没有告诉我。
The king also said to Shimei, "You know in your own heart all the harm that you did to David my father. So the LORD will bring back your harm on your own head."
王又对示每说：「你向我父亲大卫所行的一切恶事，你自己心里也知道，所以耶和华必使你的罪恶归到自己的头上；
