Gerda related all, from the very beginning: the Wood-pigeons cooed above in their cage, and the others slept.

"It must have been terrible," said little Gerda.

"I don't understand that at all," said little Gerda.

"That was Kay," cried Gerda, with a voice of delight.

Suddenly little Gerda stepped through the great portal into the palace.
突然，小小的格尔达走进了宫殿的大门。
