Objective: To evaluate the sagittal and vertical anchorage of transpalatal arch (TPA).

We must pay attention to enhancing vertical anchorage of molars besides sagittal anchorage in orthodontic treatment.
在正畸治疗中不但要增强磨牙的前后向支抗，还要重视垂直向支抗。
Conclusion: TPA can be used as maximum anchorage in the orthodontic treatment, especially to reinforce the vertical anchorage.
结论：TPA能满足正畸治疗中强支抗的需要，特别能很好地控制垂直向支抗。
