In order to gain high efficiency and good accuracy for the numerical simulation of large-scale contact-impact problems under cluster computer environment, the TUL formulation is presented.

Numerical results show that the method with TUL formulation is comparable in accuracy with the algorithm employing ul formulation, even substantially faster if the appropriate parameter nis given.
