The geometric feature of the arc finger seal is analysed. The relationship between the finger stick arc radius and the stick arc center circle radii and their value scope are determined too.

The present study shows that there is a critical seal pressure which is only related to the compression ratio and the friction coefficient, but does not depend on the radius of the elastomer ring.
