So Saul went down to the Desert of Ziph, with his three thousand chosen men of Israel, to search there for David.
扫罗就起身，带领以色列人中挑选的三千精兵下到西弗的旷野，要在那里寻索大卫。
When Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah, he did not go there.
有人告诉扫罗，大卫离开基伊拉逃走。于是扫罗不出来了。
David then asked Ahimelech the Hittite and Abishai son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, "Who will go down into the camp with me to Saul?"
大卫对赫人亚希米勒和洗鲁雅的儿子约押的兄弟亚比筛说，谁同我下到扫罗营里去。
Then David said to Abiathar: "That day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, I knew he would be sure to tell Saul."

With these words David rebuked his men and did not allow them to attack Saul.

The Ziphites went up to Saul at Gibeah and said, "Is not David hiding among us in the strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hakilah, south of Jeshimon?"

And Saul called up all his forces for battle, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men.

So Saul took three thousand chosen men from all Israel and set out to look for David and his men near the Crags of the Wild Goats.

But Saul hurled his spear at him to kill him. Then Jonathan knew that his father intended to kill David.

So Jonathan called David and told him the whole conversation. He brought him to Saul, and David was with Saul as before.

Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with David but had left Saul.

Some of the men of Manasseh defected to David when he went with the Philistines to fight against Saul.
大卫从前与非利士人同去，要与扫罗争战，有些玛拿西人来投奔大卫，他们却没有帮助非利士人。
So David gave his oath to Saul.
于是大卫向扫罗起誓，扫罗就回家去。
Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands.
扫罗天天寻索大卫，神却不将大卫交在他手里。
While David was at Horesh in the Desert of Ziph, he learned that Saul had come out to take his life.
大卫知道扫罗出来寻索他的命。那时，他住在西弗旷野的树林里。
When David finished saying this, Saul asked, "Is that your voice, David my son?" And he wept aloud.
大卫向扫罗说完这话，扫罗说：“我儿大卫，这是你的声音吗？”
Saul was going along one side of the mountain, and David and his men were on the other side, hurrying to get away from Saul.
扫罗在山这边走，大卫和跟随他的人在山那边走。 大卫急忙躲避扫罗。
Then Saul broke off his pursuit of David and went to meet the Philistines.
于是扫罗不追赶大卫，回去攻打非利士人。
When Saul looked behind him, David bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground.

Then David set out and went to the place where Saul had camped. He saw where Saul and Abner son of Ner, the commander of the army, had lain down.
大卫起来，到扫罗安营的地方，看见扫罗和他的元帅尼珥的儿子押尼珥睡卧之处。
When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him.
大卫逃避，来到拉玛见撒母耳，将扫罗向他所行的事述说了一遍。
When Saul heard this, he went into the Desert of Maon in pursuit of David.
扫罗听见，便在玛云的旷野追赶大卫。
Now Saul's daughter Michal was in love with David, and when they told Saul about it, he was pleased.
扫罗的次女米甲爱大卫。有人告诉扫罗，扫罗就喜悦。
Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."
扫罗对大卫说：“你可以去吧。耶和华必与你同在。”
Whatever Saul sent him to do, David did it so successfully that Saul gave him a high rank in the army.
扫罗无论差遣大卫往何处去，他都做事精明。
From that day Saul kept David with him and did not let him return to his father's house.
那日扫罗留住大卫，不容他再回父家。
As Saul and his forces were closing in on David and his men to capture them.
因为扫罗和跟随他的人，四面围住大卫和跟随他的人，要拿获他们。
Again David asked, "Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men to Saul?"
大卫又说：“基伊拉人将我和跟随我的人交在扫罗手里不交？ ”？
