Each device runs an MQe queue manager (hereafter referred to as a device queue manager).
The gateway queue manager is an MQe queue manager configured with an additional feature called the MQ bridge.
As with messages going from device queue managers to MQ, the gateway does the reverse transformation from MQ to MQe message format.
The normal approach requires MQ to be configured with a remote queue definition for each target device (MQe queue Manager and queues).
In order to send messages from a device running MQe to MQ, or from MQ to a device, the system architecture consists of three components.
As shown in Figure 2, MQe is a client-server solution suitable for messaging communication with applications on other remote devices and servers.
Figure 2 shows how MQe running on a client device can interact with server-side applications to provide a secure, end-to-end message delivery solution.
Instead, the gateway queue manager is configured with a listener, which pulls messages from the transmission queue and maintains the assured delivery process to the MQe target destination.
