Then Abimelech said, "What is this you have done to us?"

Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech's servants had seized.

And his concubine who was in Shechem also bore him a son, and he called his name Abimelech.

Now Abimelech had not gone near her, so he said, "Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?"
亚比·米勒却还没有亲近撒拉；他说：“主啊，连有义的国，你也要毁灭吗？”
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

But Abimelech said, "I don't know who has done this. You did not tell me, and I heard about it only today."

And Abimelech charged all his people， saying， He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

And Abimelech asked Abraham, "What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs you have set apart by themselves?"

At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, "God is with you in everything you do."

And there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, "She is my sister." Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.

And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

And Abimelech chased him, and he fled before him, and many were overthrown and wounded, even unto the entering of the gate.

Then all the citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo gathered beside the great tree at the pillar in Shechem to crown Abimelech king.

When the brothers repeated all this to the citizens of Shechem, they were inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, "he is our brother."

Now there was a famine in the land-besides the earlier famine of Abraham's time-and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar.
