亚述王来，为何让他得着许多水喝呢？
Why should they come here finding lots of fresh water to drink?
他背叛，不肯事奉亚述王。
He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.
列国的神有哪一个救他本国脱离亚述王的手呢。
Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered at all his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
亚述王一听见，就打发使者去见希西家，吩咐他们说。
And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying.
亚述王提革拉毗尼色上来，却没有帮助他，反倒欺凌他。
Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came to him, but he gave him trouble instead of help.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.
亚述王西拿基立如此说，你们倚靠什么，还在耶路撒冷受困呢？
This is what Sennacherib king of Assyria says: On what are you basing your confidence, that you remain in Jerusalem under siege?
