战国时期(公元前475- 221年)，齐国有个叫淳于髡的人。
Chunyu Kun lived in the state of Qi during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
淳于凳说：蟥“同类的鸟总是聚集在一起，同类的野兽也总是一道行走。”
Chun Yukun said: "Birds of the same feather always flock together. Wild beasts of the same kind always walk together."
（其实淳于髡是暗喻齐威王）齐威王答道：一旦这只鸟开始飞翔高歌，必然震惊世界。
Theduke answered, Once that bird starts to fly and sing, it will astonish the world.
淳于髡就告诉齐王，在不同的情况下他的酒量是不一样的。
Chunyu Kun then explained that he could drink different amounts of wine under different conditions.
齐威王知道淳于髡在劝诫他，回答说：“你说得对，我会接受你的建议的。”
Realizing Chunyu Kun was advising him, the king answered, "you are right. I will take your advice."
在宴会上，齐威王问淳于髡：“先生你喝多少酒会醉?”
