Moses said to Joshua, "Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites."
17：9摩西对约书亚说，你为我们选出人来，出去和亚玛力人争战。明天我手里要拿着神的杖，站在山顶上。
And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
耶和华对摩西说：“我要将亚玛力的名号从天下全然涂抹了；你要将这话写在书上作纪念，又念给约书亚听。”
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, becasue I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."
那时犹大人来到吉甲见约书亚，有基尼洗族耶孚尼的儿子迦勒对约书亚说：“耶和华在加低斯巴尼亚指着我与你对神人摩西所说的话，你都知道了。”
Now the men of Judah approached Joshua at Gilgal, and Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, "you know what the LORD said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh Barnea about you and me."
耶和华对约书亚说：“从今日起，我必使你在以色列众人眼前尊大，使他们知道我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。”
And the LORD said to Joshua, "Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses."
神继续对约书亚说：“我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。”
God continued to instruct Joshua: as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
神对约书亚说：“我的仆人摩西死了。”
然后，神对约书亚说：“从今日起，我必使你在以色列众人眼前尊大，使他们知道我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。”
Then God spoke to Joshua, "This very day I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you."
