耶和华却对撒母耳说：“不要看他的外貌和他身材高大，我不拣选他。”
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him."
耶和华对我说，你儿子所罗门必建造我的殿和院宇。因为我拣选他作我的子，我也必作他的父。
He said to me: 'Solomon your son is the one who will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
因他拣选犹大为首领。在犹大支派中拣选我父家，在我父的众子里喜悦我，立我作以色列众人的王。
He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah he chose my family, and from my father's sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.
户筛对押沙龙说，不然，耶和华和这民，并以色列众人所拣选的，我必归顺他，与他同住。
And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.
