耶和华说：“我所要做的事岂可瞒着亚伯拉罕呢？
Then the Lord said,"Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?

And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham the thing which I do.
亚比米勒召了亚伯拉罕来，对他说，你怎吗向我这样行呢。
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us?
他们回答说，我们是亚伯拉罕的后裔，从来没有作过谁的奴仆。你怎吗说，你们必得以自由呢。
They answered him, we be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, ye shall be made free?
又说：“谁能预先对亚伯拉罕说‘撒拉要乳养婴孩’呢？”
And she added, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children?"
亚比·米勒问亚伯拉罕说：“你把这七只母羊羔另放在一处，是什么意思呢？”
And Abimelech asked Abraham, "What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs you have set apart by themselves?"
21：29亚比·米勒问亚伯拉罕说，你把这七只母羊羔另放在一处，是什么意思呢。
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?
亚比·米勒又对亚伯拉罕说：“你见了什么才作这事呢？”
And Abimelech asked Abraham, "What was your reason for doing this?"
亚伯拉罕说：“我还敢对主说话，假若在那里见有二十个怎么样呢？”
Abraham said, "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?"
4你们想一想，先祖亚伯拉罕将自己所掳来上等之物取十分之一给他，这人是何等尊贵呢！
Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!
21：7又说，谁能预先对亚伯拉罕说撒拉要乳养婴孩呢，因为在他年老的时候，我给他生了一个儿子。
And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? For I have born him a son in his old age.
亚伯拉罕说：“求主不要动怒，容我说，假若在那里见有三十个怎么样呢？”
Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?
其实可以说，藉著亚伯拉罕，就是收取了十分之一的利未也纳了十分之一呢！
And as I may so say, Levi also, who received tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
经上说什么呢。说，亚伯拉罕信神，这就算为他的义。
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
亚伯拉罕为甚麽胆敢这样对神说话呢？
他们回答说：“我们是亚伯拉罕的后裔，从来没有作过谁的奴仆，你怎么说‘你们必得以自由’呢？”
"They answered Him," we are Abraham's descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, 'You will become free'?

Abraham said, "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?"
