But what you are proving here -- each and every one of you who work here at Smith Electric -- is the promise of a brighter future.
And just looking around, this looks like a fun place to work. (Laughter.) The work you do here, as we just heard, is making homes more energy efficient, it's saving people money, it's generating jobs and it's putting America on the path to a clean energy future.
The work you've done here is quite impressive, and the evolution of your work to include green building, something that we're talking more and more about as a nation, energy-saving practices, and environmental awareness, it demonstrates how YouthBuild has endured as a leading non-profit organization, keeping up with the times, making sure that the training and education that you get is current.
The work that you do here is really meaningful, which is why you have so many heavy-hitters here, because we need your advice and your input.
And that is why it is such a pleasure to honor you all here today -- for the work that you do, for inspiring our kids, for keeping their promise alive, loving them, supporting them.
You have a chance to make money here if you are willing to work.
But for something to work here, you first have to convince people it's so incredible that they want to wear it.
They have the iPhone, which is on the market today... is there a risk that the work you're doing here will look like they got there first?
So you all should be very proud to be highlighted here today for the work that you've done.
For some of you, the journey you took to get here is just as inspiring as the work that you brought with you today.

The fact is, when you leave here today you will search for work in an economy that is still emerging from the worst crisis since the Great Depression.
And I know that many of you here today are doing equally important work in your communities and your schools -- everything from holding camps for kids in need to teaching computer literacy skills, to finding new ways to conserve energy.
You know, you go all those years without any sleep, and you're finally out there giving health care and all of a sudden you're told, here's a straitjacket we'd like you to wear to work every day and still figure out how to make these people well.
And so what I believe can happen is that through the employer enforcement, people are here to work, and so if they're here to work, there'll be intolerance, if you will, towards the illegals.
