And finally, I want to thank all of you -- all the women who have served this nation with courage, determination, and distinction, from World War II to today in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And let me just say, from now until November -- less than 90 days -- we are going to need all of you -- all of you out there, telling everybody you know.

So, all you workaholics, all you hard-driven executives and hedge fund managers, all those insatiable for power and money, and those who only go to their doctor for a yearly checkup--all of you should peruse this thoughtful book.

So with many of you we had a series of roundtable discussions -- thank you all -- with our military spouses.

And I want you all to know that your support -- truly, the checks that you all have written -- that has made all of the difference every step of the way.
You know, being here with all of you -- with all the outstanding members of the Congressional Black Caucus -- reminds me of a story that one of our friends, a giant of the civil rights movement, Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery, told one day.

You all really do -- (applause) -- you all really help remind us what we're here for.
In the good old days--if you were a burglar--all you had to worry about was setting off an alarm.
So one of the things we thought -- and I don't know about all of you -- is whether you wonder, what are these state dinners all about and these state visits?

And most of all, I want to thank all of you -- especially all of the students here at Lawrence University.
Some of you are old enough -- not all of you -- but remember back in the '80s how everybody was saying, oh, Japan is taking over and they're buying everything here and we're on decline?
Why do you think -- and you all deal in ASEAN countries, as well as China -- why do you think that has happened, specifically with the ASEAN nations?
We know that if we want to truly build opportunities for all Americans -- do you hear me -- all of them -- then, yes, we need to cut wasteful spending, but also have to make smart investments in things like education and infrastructure for an economy that is built to last. (Applause.) We know that.

So I want, by a show of hands -- or maybe screams -- because you all scream -- how many kids, for you, is this your first Olympics that you will see or hear about?

Again, if you had given that speech three or four years ago, you would likely have -- you all could name the Republicans that you were likely to have seen statements from that supported comprehensive immigration reform.
But at the end of the day, when it comes time to make that decision, as President -- let me share with you what I have found -- all you have to guide you are your life experiences.
Imagine -- you spend all season training this sort-of-rapper guy to stumble around the stage dodging colorful lasers and superfluous dancers, and suddenly he sits perfectly still on a bar stool with (GASP) a musical instrument and delivers one of the best performances of the season!
You all have your own stories -- you can sit down, Chryshann -- (applause.) You all have your own stories of how you came to this country.
The other thing I've noticed is -- and I notice particularly from you all -- and I use "you" in an editorial sense -- is this emphatic, unrelenting belief that there is no reason why America has to be number two.
As you know -- and you've all covered campaigns I think before -- there's constant adjustments to the campaign schedule and what he is and isn't doing.
