"We're trying to stay away from buying land and we're borrowing land instead, " Yang says.
Yang says the biggest problem in Japan is the lack of innovation in big business.
This, Yang says, could allow them to do things like diagnosis and drug discovery faster and more efficiently.
"To me, BMW represents sporty and luxurious, " Mr. Yang says.
The goal of the program, Mr. Yang says, is to help start-ups and early-stage businesses get off the ground, and its target is to create 100, 000 jobs by 2025.
Right before the camera goes off, Ms. Yang says it's important to "put something in your mind that makes you genuinely happy" so that you'll smile with your eyes.
Meanwhile, China Life's Chairman Yang Chao says it also has plans to become a financial holding company and has been buying stakes in a number of China's banks and other financial institutions to further that aim (See story "Ready to Deal").
One of them, 71-year-old Yang Quanyi, says he actually was the leader of the team that discovered the warriors, a claim Yang Zhifa (no relation) rejects.

But the "obsolete-map" story is not credible to Chinese scholars, says Yang Dazhou, a retired senior fellow at the Academy of Social Sciences and China's top Balkans expert.
"We learn to exchange e-mail, make our own Web pages and, best of all, improve our English, " says Yang Yimei, who is from the town of Simao, in China's southwestern Yunnan province.
"Many parents hope their children can go on to higher education, but the number of university slots has been very limited, " says professor Yang Ruilong, deputy director of the People's University Economics Institute.

"Clearly Facebook drove the acceptance of the market, " accounting for a majority of recent trading in pre-IPO stocks on exchanges, says Christopher Yang, who specializes in technology at Grove Street Advisors LLC, a Millennium investor that advises pension funds on venture investing.

"At the moment, the Santro will not be available in any other country but India, " says managing director Yang Soo Kim.
