Google said Wednesday that it has signed a first-of-its-kind deal with an Oklahoma utility to buy 48 megawatts of wind energy to help power its data center in that state.
By that same EIA data, the sum total of all hydroelectric, geothermal, solar, wind and biomass power, for the entire country, was only 6.8 quads in 2007.
