Congress is going to have to make a decision whether they decide to help unemployed Americans who are struggling, or whether weshould make sure that we give them the experience and support that they need to get back in the workforce and build a better life.
Rather than shaming teens for potentially becoming pregnant, weshould be spending our public dollars and collective energy figuring out how to better supportthem when they do.
So weshould do all that we can to support our troops and our veterans -- in helping them start a business, in helping them get a foothold in a fire station like this one, and start moving up the ranks, doing outstanding work the way Jacob has been doing.
The central question for us as a society should be: How can we identify those people at risk for aggressive violence, and get themsupport while help is still an option?
