The project involved the installation of a water purification system capable of producing up to 20, 000 liters of drinking water per day and currently supplies over 600 residents with clean drinking water.
Assistance could be in the form of installation of draught proofing, loft insulation, hot water cylinder jacket or more effective heating controls and training on how best to use them.
Advocates for the rapids have suggested the installation of an inflatable dam upstream that could better regulate water levels around the season to insure better rowing conditions.
As for increased use of water metering, the consumer body described the concept as fair but stopped short of supporting the compulsory installation of meters across the whole of England and Wales.
